How To Heal The Skin From Sunburn
Sunburns is probably the worst part of your summer …It can happen to anyone anytime in summer (OK, except from night) especially during the summer holidays. Spend some more time under the sun, forget to use a sunblock on some spots of your body and you will have a new badge on your skin, not a tattoo or a badge of honor but a sunburn. Of course the best way to protect yourself from a sunburn is to avoid it beforehand using one of the best sunscreens that are available in the market.
Until now we knew that the easiest way to heal a sunburn was … yogurt! However, there are some other secrets that can relieve your skin from a sunburn.
Both white vinegar and apple vinegar are useful for skin cells treatment from sunburn.
Dilute a little vinegar with cold water, dip a soft cloth in the mix and apply gently on the sunburn. It will absorb heat from the skin and relieve the burning sensation.
You can also spray the vinegar directly on the affected area in order to soothe the pain.
Another option is to mix equal quantities of honey and vinegar and apply the mixture to the affected area once a day to prevent infection.
Milk on the sunburn relieves the burnt skin and helps skin regeneration. Dampen a towel in a mix that will contain milk diluted with iced water and place it on the burn. The milk protein and lactic acid are anti-inflammatory and relaxing according to dermatologists. However, never put ice straight on the sunburn.
You can reduce the inflammation and relieve the pain of sunburn using cold towels on the affected area of your skin.
Put a towel in cold water, wring it to drop excess water, and put the towel on the affected area.
Repeat the process several times and soon you will feel relief from the burning sensation.
Never put ice directly on the sunburn or blisters, as it can make the condition worse. In addition, it is advisable to NOT have warm baths for a few days. The bath in cool water instead, will help relieve the pain.
Place a wet towel in the refrigerator (not the freezer) and place it on the affected area for about 10 minutes, 2-3 times a day.
Apply Aloe Vera gel from the aloe plant to the burnt area.
Aloe is an anti-inflammatory plant that helps to soothe red, irritated from the sun skin. Therefore it is a great weapon to bring you some relief when placed on a sunburn.
Tip: Keep the Aloe Vera in your refrigerator. This will refresh you even more.
Green tea also helps the sunburned skin. Place a pad soaked with cold green tea on the place of the body which is burnt by the sun for 15 minutes and then let it dry. Green tea has a high concentration of anti-inflammatory antioxidants.
6. Drink Plenty Of Water
You can then use your moisturizer several times per day but make sure it does not contain perfume.
