Undoubtedly, the use of blush helps the face to look healthier and brighter. There is cream blush and powder blush. You can use cream blush using your fingers and powder blush using a blush brush.
It is always good to choose a natural color that blends well with your skin’s color. If you have light skin, the blush should have a light shade.
On dark skin, dark brown or plum colors are ideal. On the other hand, on light skin pink or salmon colors look good.
How To Apply Blush Correctly?
You have found and bought your favorite drugstore blush and you are ready to apply it. Here is the proper routine to apply your blush correctly.
First of all, apply your blush after you have finished the rest of your makeup and always start putting a little blush. It is far easier to add some more if you need it than remove it when you don’t need so much.
During the application it is advisable to clean the brush first blowing or hitting the brush on a surface. Spread the blush over your apples sucking your face inward (do the fish face), and as you get near the temples the color should be more transparent with the skin. Do not smile because it will bring up your cheeks.
If you think you have put too much blush, you can hide it by putting a layer of translucent powder or continue working on it using the brush to erase it.
After the application, brush your face with a translucent powder to set your makeup and bring some warmth to the cheeks.
You may not have great corners and cheekbones but there is always a way to create an effect on them using the appropriate makeup technique. Look at these tips to find out how can you make your face look thinner and let the others wandering how much weight did you loose.
The steps to follow:
- Your main tool to achieve this is foundation. You will need one in your skin’s color and one more 2-3 tones darker. If you want you can also use the dark foundation that you used last summer.
- Using a foundation brush or your fingers spread the foundation which has the same tone with your skin all over your face and low on your neck.
- Spread concealer over the cheekbones
- Apply the darker foundation over the upper face contour and over your cheekbones up to the cheeks
- Spread using a brush
When the shadows are ready it’s time to give light on specific points.
To give light, place concealer under the eyes, forehead, to the point that there is a gap between the eyebrows, on top of the nose, on the “V” of the lips and the chin.
Use your brush again to spread the materials and you are ready!
