5 Common Mistakes To Avoid When Dyeing Your Hair

There is a time in our lives when we all hate the color of our hair and want to make a small or large change. Choosing to dye our hair in our own house is a cheaper alternative to the hairdresser and boxed colors could provide great results, but you have to do it right.
Here are some common mistakes we make when dyeing our hair in our own without the help of specialists:
1. Dyeing them too often
Several women dye their hair on a regular basis. This way they do not let them “breathe” at all. If you dye your hair for second time without allowing the first coat of paint to leave, the hair weakens and become more fragile. In addition, this could lead to various discolorations that you will not like.
2. Not applying the color evenly.
This is a mistake that you usually realize too late. When you color your hair at home yourself, of course you cannot see how well you spread the color on the back of your head. There is only one solution for this, ask for help. Ask your sister, your mother or your friend to help you apply the color on those places you cannot see. If you cannot get any help at all, use a hair comb to make sure that it will distribute the color evenly.
3. Go for 2 shades darker or lighter
Even if you go to a specialist to change your color, if you want to make a drastic change like from black to blonde you will usually need more than 1 sessions in order to get the color right. Drastic changes should be made from professionals in order to get the right results. Otherwise, try to gradually change color! Except from the fact that the end result will disappoint you, your hair will be damaged because the hairs can not “afford” so intense and sudden changes.
You should never go for 2 shades darker or lighter from your natural hair color all by yourself.
4. Do it in a rush
Many women are in a hurry and make the mistake to apply the color on large parts of the head. You should separate the hair into smaller groups and start from the top, continuing downwards.
When you make sure that you have applied the color correctly, check how much time you have to leave it on before rinsing your hair. Do not leave the color on less time than the instructions suggest because the color will not be absorbed properly.
5. Do not wash the hair properly before and after dyeing
If you plan to dye your hair, you should not wash your hair for at least 24 hours before. The head’s skin has some natural oils that are needed to hold the color.
After dyeing the hair, rinse well with cold water. Avoid hot water and shampoo because the color will fade more easily. Immediately, apply conditioner or hair mask to replenish the lost moisture and leave it on for 20 minutes. In addition, you should avoid to wash your hair for the next two days, if you want the new color to maintain!
Remember to always read the instructions given on the color packaging in order to prevent many fatal mistakes and avoid … mourning at the end!https://thebeautytonic.com/5-mistakes-when-dying-your-hair/https://thebeautytonic.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/mistakes-in-dyeing-the-hair.jpghttps://thebeautytonic.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/mistakes-in-dyeing-the-hair-150x150.jpgHair CareThere is a time in our lives when we all hate the color of our hair and want to make a small or large change.
