Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20  is an updated version of Stila’s discontinued tinted moisturizer. I never used the old version so I wouldn’t know how to compare the two, but the newer version’s descriptions says that it is water resistant. (the original was not)

Stila’s “new and improved” tinted moihsturizer is a sheer luminous color infused with      light-diffusing pigments to help diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles. I am  seriously obsessed with light-diffusing makeup right now. I find that these products truly  blur out any imperfections on my skin and the light-diffusing part of Stila’s tinted  moisturizer was one of the main reasons why I picked it up.

Stila’s Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer definitely blurred out imperfections on my face. I bought it in “Tone” (pictured on my hand), which is made for “medium complexions with some neutral undertones”, and the color that it deposits, combined with light-diffusing pigments, leave my skin looking nearly flawless with a fresh glow.

My only problem is that this moisturizer leaves my skin looking a little too shiny and feels more like a BB Cream or light foundation than a moisturizer. I am comparing it to the tinted moisturizer I had been using by Origins, which feels way more like a moisturizer.

Stila’s tinted moisturizer definitely does its main job in moisturizing, but since I wear a BB cream AND foundation (almost) every day, I want my moisturizer to truly feel like a moisturizer. I really do like this moisturizer, I just like Origins’ VitaZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer better.

includes many “skin-enhancingingredients like chamomile extract, gingko biloba leaf extract and ginger root extract. It definitely goes on smooth and it feels like you are putting ingredients good-for-you on your face. It feels healthy, if that makes any sense. This moisturizer is also oil-free.

This moisturizer claims to be a multi-tasker — it’s supposed to hydrate skin, perfect skin tone, provide SPF 20 sun protection and enhance the complexion. What I really love about this moisturizer is the flawless finish it leaves on my skin. Imperfections are definitely blurred out while just the right amount of color is deposited, my skin feels hydrated and it gives off a luminous glow — all reasons that I can also wear this moisturizer alone, on a makeup-free day.

Overall, I really do like this product. It’s a great tinted moisturizer that hydrates skin and leaves it looking luminous and feeling refreshed. It leaves a perfect amount of color so that I can leave the house in a hurry without doing my full makeup routine and, of course, it protects from the sun’s harmful rays. What I don’t like about this moisturizer is that I feel like it is a bit too heavy for a moisturizer — it feels a little more like a light foundation on my skin, and, if I accidentally put too much on, it will cake up a bit on my face the way too much foundation would.
