My usual stance about gift sets: Please spare me. They usually are cheesy, containing more packaging than actual products and it is rare to include at least one item that you really like. Well, this year I will make an exception…well…three big exceptions and add three items in a gift set list. These sets are seriously luxurious and they are something that I would be happy to be offered as a gift. They are not cheap, but that’s what wish lists are for, right?

1.Carven Le Parfum Gift Set

Last year, Carven, the famous Parisian fashion house has launched a new fragrance that is created by Francis Kurkdjian, the French master of perfume. I feel like obsessed with it. Maybe it’s because when I wear it, I feel like a French girl, but this fragrance is also a great mix of freshness, sweetness and flowery. The holiday gift-set includes a fragrance of full size along with a shower gel and a body milk. Owning the three of them you can enjoy the beautiful scent all day long. Buy it for yourself or for your favorite Francophile – $119.

2.Oribe Beautiful Color Shampoo Collection.

You could get me one Oribe product as a present and I’d be over the moon. But three? Then I’ve entered beauty heaven. Packaged in a beautiful vintage-y looking box, this collection includes Oribe’s Shampoo and Conditioner for Beautiful Color as well as a travel-size version of his Masque for Beautiful Color. They all feature the line’s signature addictive scent that will leave you wanting to wash your hair every day of the week. $76.

3.Yves Saint Laurent Love and Lacquer Reds Set.

I’m thinking to buy this myself this weekend so I can have it handy for upcoming Easter holiday parties. Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in 9 is a great Marilyn Monroe red that has a lacquered finish that simply cannot slip. (no matter how many drinks you have). The Nail Lacquer in Vibrant Red is a close match to the lip stain allowing you to match all of your colors if you wish to and the mini mascara comes in a great size in order to stuff in a clutch for evening touch-ups. The red shades are so classy that will come handy at many occasions.- $58.
